Ritz Camera & Image Plans Strategic Revamp of RitzPix.com

Rejuvenated Division Includes New Leadership, Products and Key Partnerships

WASHINGTON, DC–(Marketwire – May 25, 2010) – Ritz Camera & Image, America’s premier imaging retailer, announces the reinvention of its e-commerce division, RitzPix.com. To enhance the popular retailer’s online presence, the company has brought in online imaging pioneer Peter Tahmin to lead the way. Tahmin is charged with increasing RitzPix.com’s visibility in the e-commerce space through building strategic partnerships with retail sites, service providers, mobile networks and social media applications.

The first of many initiatives for RitzPix.com includes the addition of new products, such as premium photo books, an array of photo sizes and finishes and other imaging goods that allow consumers to print the photos of their choice in a format that best suits their needs. RitzPix.com has also launched its Ritz Access Photo tool that seamlessly uploads images from leading social network sites such as Facebook, Picasa and coming soon, Flickr.

“With the online space growing and evolving as quickly as it is, we knew we had to expand our e-commerce business and couldn’t think of a better person to lead our efforts than Peter,” said Stephen M. LaMastra, president of Ritz Camera & Image. “What sets us apart from our online competitors is that we offer consumers the convenience of ordering exciting imaging products online, with the luxury of being able to pick up almost any product at their local store within the hour. Instant gratification and professional in-store service are true advantages that only we can offer consumers. We’re confident that through our one-hour service, expanded product offerings, superior customer service and current and future partnerships, we’ll quickly be able to duplicate our in-store success on RitzPix.com.”

RitzPix.com has also expanded its mobile presence with the release of two mobile applications for the iPhone and Android devices. The new free applications give users the ability to upload pictures and view photo albums directly on their RitzPix.com online photo account from their mobile device. Once images have been added, consumers can log-in to their account where they can share, save and display prints and other imaging products through their local Ritz Camera and Image store in just one hour.

RitzPix.com offers a range of products available in one hour that is unrivaled anywhere in the world. Consumers can upload their mobile images to be printed in a wide range of sizes or use them to create custom products such as photo books, greeting cards, custom photo calendars, photo stamps, canvas prints, personalized photo gifts and scrap book pages. All of these innovative products are offered for online ordering and in-store pick up in a hour, or online ordering delivered to home or office.
